Available to all, but aimed at those with dementia or other forms of memory loss, our easily portable red box of treasures allows you to dive into the 20th century. Objects range across the decades with music, tools, kitchen utensils, handicrafts and toys all aimed at triggering memory. Kindly donated by Mike Dixon, the objects are not formally accessioned exhibits, so we encourage you to handle and examine (some are more delicate than others!).
Alongside are books on each decade from the 1950s - 1970s and a memory activity book to get you started. We also have several books on the Royal Family available for loan with the box, kindly donated by Peter Bates from the library of the former Towers Convent school.
